Virtual Key System Working

maximiser has been designed to meet the ever changing business needs of the 21st Century, using the very latest technology to both streamline & enhance company performance. “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it – just improve on it” is a core SpliceCom design philosophy. maximiser’s Virtual Key System delivery is a perfect illustration of this point.

The use of the multi-functional “Favourite” icon on PCS 570, PCS 560, PCS 410, PCS 100, PCS 60 & PCS 50 provides the foundation for SpliceCom’s Virtual Key System feature set. Favourites deliver ALL of the following features;

  • External Speed Dial
  • Internal Direct Station Select (DSS)
  • Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
  • Line Appearance
  • Ringing Status
  • Call Pick-Up
  • No. of Calls Queued

 PCS 410, PCS 60 & PCS 50

With your Favourite entries embedded within the Caller Display page of the PCS 410/PCS 60/PCS 50 you can clearly identify calls ringing for Departments and Colleagues and pick them up. Should another call be presented, picking it up causes the first call to be automatically parked. Want to return to the original call? You can toggle between the two by selecting the parked call. Selecting a particular Favourite icon when it’s in a normal state - signifying that your colleague is available to take call - causes a call to be placed automatically. You can also select to have your Favourites shown on your PCS 410/PCS 60/PCS 50 screen when not engaged on calls.

PCS 560, PCS 570 and PCS 100

If you’ve chosen to use SpliceCom’s PCS 560, PCS 570 or PCS 100 IP Phones, your list of Favourites is viewed on the Context Sensitive Display. Eighteen entries can be viewed at a time on the PCS 570, nine on the PCS 560 and eight on the PCS 100, however, unlike traditional Key Systems, you’re not limited by physical hardware to the overall number of Departments or colleagues that can be displayed. There’s actually no limit – just scroll between your Favourite entries. Line appearance, indication of ringing, calls queued, call pick-up, speed-dials, DSS & BLF – exactly the same Virtual Key System features that you find on the PCS 410, PCS 560 & PCS 50 are all available on the PCS 560, PCS 570 and PCS 100.

PCS 5, PCS 10, PCS 520 & Existing Analogue Phones

By running PCS 60 or PCS 50 as a “partner” to your desktop phone, on a Windows, Mac OS X or Linux PC, you’ll get identical features and functionality to SpliceCom’s top-of-the-range PCS 410 IP Phone. And you can do exactly the same with any existing analogue phones you may have and wish to energise in this manner.
