maximiser is a true, next-generation Business Telephone System. It was designed at the beginning of the 21st Century to take advantage of all the powerful new advances in recently proven architectures and technologies. Equally as important, it has been developed to work with – and so maximse - your existing investment in IT applications and infrastructure.

Networking

Each maximiser system is constructed around just two modular components, Call Server and Phone Module, so it's very easy to put together. Exactly how you choose to do so will very much depend on exactly what you need it to deliver for your business.

Virtualisation

Up until now there’s been two basic models for the deployment of business telephony; the Hosted model, where the PBX/Call Control is located “off-site” as far as the customer is concerned, and the CPE model where it’s handled on site. Think of these as set menus, when what’s really required is a la carte – the ability to mix-and-match both models within a single network, on a customer-by-customer basis as required. On site call routing with a single IP trunk for “cloud” connectivity to other offices, mobile/home based employees and PSTN breakout - with the option of local ISDN connectivity for resilience. And direct IP connectivity back to the same “cloud” for smaller offices and those working at home. One system, with a single point of management, offering different delivery options based on each company’s specific needs.

Microsoft Windows Support

SpliceCom’s PCS 60 Phone Partner, IP Softphone and Operators Console application runs on Microsoft Windows platforms. Voicemail messages can be forwarded to Microsoft Exchange using SMTP or IMAP, whilst a TAPI driver enables “click to dial” operation from Outlook contacts and other TAPI enabled applications. Flexor CTI from Camrivox offers integration with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SalesForce and Netsuite, whilst Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 support is also offered by maximiser Development Partners SpiderGroup.

Linux Support

SpliceCom’s PCS 50 Phone Partner and IP Softphone runs on Linux platforms, whilst the maximiser 5 Series Telephony platforms, PCS 580, PCS 570, PCS 560, PCS 410 and PCS 100 IP Phones are all built on the Linux operating system.

Scalability

The total current capacity of the maximiser 5 Series system is 10,000 extensions and 200 Call Servers. Each 5100 Call Server module handles up to 500 extensions be they analogue, IP or any mix of the two. If your requirement is for more than 500 extensions simply add more Call Servers. This approach allows systems to grow in an organic manner without the need to upgrade or replace processors and cabinets as is the case with traditional PBXs. Yet no matter how big or small your system may be, or how many sites it's spread across, it still appears to your employees as one single entity - and what's more it's managed as a single system, allowing you to significantly reduce management costs.

SIP Trunks

Non-geographic numbering; With SIP, telephone numbers are no longer fixed to a geographical location. This assists smaller businesses to portray themselves as much larger with a national presence, and provide local numbers where there is a high density of customers/prospects or in cases where a geographically focussed market campaign is to be run.

Apple Mac Support

SpliceCom’s PCS 60 for OS X is a truly unique application, which enables the delivery of advanced business telephony to the Apple Mac community for the very first time. Identical in operation and functionality to SpliceCom’s PCS 60 application for the Windows operating system, the Apple variant can be utilised on any iMac, MacBook Pro, PowerBook or iBook running OS X.

Web Integration

The Gartner Group talks of The Real Time Enterprise – the use of web-based applications to reduce the time taken to accomplish every day, “bread and butter” business tasks. This is achieved by ensuring that the right information gets to the right people at the right time.
